Observation

Blinds were observed to be down upon licensor arrival. Provider reports they are always secured and secured up with locking mechanism, but due to it being Monday morning they had not been secured into locking mechanism yet, as they had been down during the weekend due to heat/sun. Yard/lawn equipment was observed in outdoor childcare area. Wood pile was observed in childcare space, the wood appeared to have nails poking out and accessible to children. Child safety latches were not secure in the kitchen, including under the sink where cleaning chemicals were located. Provider reports they latches were not secured due to the recent weekend. Provider immediately secured them. Some cords including charging cords observable in childcare space. Licensor measured deck drop, the drop measure between 16 and 17.5 inches. Providers dogs were in the backyard they appeared friendly. Lawn care hazards were observed in the yard, along with animal feces. The provider reports the children had been to the local community park, prior to the licensor arrival and they had not used the yard on this day. Licensor observed cords within reach of children. One extension cord was observed, with a charger attached. One kitchen outlet near water was observed to not be GFCI. Some appliances observed to have child safety latches but were not currently in use. Slider was observed to not have stickers, picures, etc.
